Intro Images for articles?

Intro Images for articles?

Hello,

When I post an image to my article, does it support posting a small version of the image as the "intro image" in the images and links section as well as the "full image" or does it just stick it into the article directly?  My site would prefer to use the intro image and full image settings in the images and links section.

Brian,

The current version doesn't do anything with a small vs large image for the intro vs full text.  Do you have something installed that does this when editing articles through a web browser?  Perhaps we could just fire a plugin or something and get the same results.

Hello Will,

In Joomla 2.5, there are fields on the left side of the article editor in the administration interface under the heading "images and links".  They are "intro image", "full image", "link a", "link b" and "link c".  It would be nice if these elements were available to the article editor.

Brian,

Thanks for the info.  I will add it to the list of items to investigate.

If you find anything else different in 2.5 that you would like added, be sure to let us know.  Sadly, I'm still only using 1.5.  I would prefer to be on the latest, but everything takes time.

When is the version for adnroid submitting picz. finnished. Going to buy, but I always use picz. in my articles so waiting for this on the android

The code changes for the Android image support are complete and we will be doing a new release any day now.

We are also adding a File Explorer plugin.  The plugin works like the Media Manager and allows users to access all the files on their site from their mobile device.  It will also allow uploading images from your device to your server without creating an article.  We have had many requests for this functionality as well and hope it will be popular with our users.
