We're wrapping up development on v1.3.0 of JAM. This version adds landscape orientation to all views (how sweet it is!), support for sites protected with an htaccess password, and useability enhancements throughout. Even better, a new plugin is not required for this release, making it a one-click upgrade when it gets released. We're aiming to submit this week to the app store, and it should be out next week. Keep looking back here for another surprise we have up our sleeves for this release....
What's after 1.3.0? Inserting images into articles. You've asked (and asked, and asked), and we're getting ready to deliver.
Administering Joomla from your iPhone is getting easier with every release. |

Development on an iPhone application takes a lot of work and planning, especially one that integrates with a complex system like Joomla! So far, JAM! has been a side project that we've put a lot of effort into it, but we're about to step up in a big way soon. At the end of June we have a full-time developer coming onto the JAM! project, and we want to give a quick outline of what our plans are, as well as get your feedback.

The latest releases of both JAM! and JAM! Lite will include a new full screen article editing option. While editing your Joomla! article, you'll get a preview of the article text and right above it, a button that reads "Edit (Full Screen)". When clicked, this button will take you to a new full screen to edit your article's html. This gives you much more room and makes it much easier to see the text while editing. Here's a couple of shots from JAM! Lite:

We've just submitted a free lite version of JAM to Apple. Now, for those who have been searching for a Joomla! iPhone App to manage their Joomla! sites from their pocket can test our flagship app out for free!
This version will be supported by ads, and have a few limitations. With JAM Lite you can add one Joomla! site (which is all some folks have). JAM Lite gives you full access to all the article features. You can also view all your Sections, Categories, Menus, Menu Items, and Users. To edit any of these, you'll need to upgrade to the full version. Upgrading is a snap as we provide an Upgrade button on all pages that have limited access.
